I've got the soccer game on streaming in the background as I work away and a breaking news just popped up that said Evan was awarded bronze after a protest.

yeah we have 19. Four gold, three silver and 12 bronze. Similar to London except we only had one gold there.

I always thought there wasn't as much diving in the women's game. But the Germans went down like they were shot all day during the semi, and the Brazilians have been even worse so far.

almost a 3rd goal.

at the 62 minute mark.

the score is indicative. but I worry about the Brazilians dropping all over the place even more as the game progresses. They've drawn some calls but the officiating seems as good as it can be in soccer. No Salt Lake City women's gold medal game here. whew.

Love the goalie. whoever she is. very solid, patient.

Women's soccer is the only women's sport I prefer watching over men's.

I also find women's soccer to be much more entertaining than men's. Game is more open, and less diving.

Canadian goaltender made sure she was hit there . . .

not that she's done that earlier.
desperate measures I suspect. Wink

extra time now. 3 minutes. yikes

if this was hockey the Canadian team would spend it all in the offensive zone . . .

so much for the less diving, that was a pretty good act put on by the Canadian keeper.
