GDT: MTL Jet over to Winnipeg
#1
Well the first of a B2B game

I guess another regional game. Sigh, I miss watching my habs. ON RDS, SNE at 7:30 pm I believe

Montoya to start (I thought our coach learnt his lesson to always start the starter on game 1 of b2b?)

Pleks didn't practice due to the flu, will be a game decision

So lines at practice were:

Pacioretty-Danault-Radulov
Lehkonen-Flynn-Byron
Andrighetto-Mitchell-Terry
Carr-McCarron-Scherbak

Look Farham not in there, the crowd in here should be much happier lol. Of course if Pleks plays then I will guess Carr is out again.

Gonna have to trust what you guys comment on here on if the team plays well or not....if they deserve to win or not.

Go habs Go!

I mentioned, in another thread, that the C line would look horrendous because Therrien would move veterans up the lineup. I was right.

After Danault, it goes south and fast for the 2nd and 3rd lines

Plekanec has been playing some decent hockey as of late with Lehkonen even before his goal against washington with him out though we have two 4th liners in positions 2 and 3 and a sort of wild card in mccarron on the 4th though its a 4th line with some decent offensive upside. It's what you have to expect though with basically 3 regular centres out of the lineup (depending how you feel about Desharnais though he is unquestionably a regular for therrien)

Agree. The positive is that Therrien, who will protect the 4th line with the appropriate TOI as he changes lines on the fly, at least gave it some offensive upside with the addition of Carr and Scherbak as wingers. Hopefully, properly matched minutes can see that line provide some secondary scoring.

I'd have preferred a line of Byron - Mitchell - Lehkonen, myself, because Lehkonen would get a better opportunity to exploit his shot on the off side (European style) and Mitchell would add more speed to this line than Flynn. I could actually see some potential for generating Offense with those three.

Would love MTL to try Lehk at C. He played there last season

But with lines so depleted, there is only so much "trying" u can do. going with a vet may not be a bad idea. But really how much better is Flynn then Lehk at C lol

Al Montoya faces his former team. Easy to forget that he played there.

Maybe if Pleks plays,
Flynn takes Terry's spot,
Carr stays in.
