2017 Non-Jays MLB season thread.
If any of the Reds' pitching prospects can show a semblance of health or performance, they should have a half decent team there. They appear to be in the Mets' boat of "maybe something more is going on" though, when it comes to pitching.

Rumours already starting that Stanton is going to be moved with several teams (Cards, phillies, Red Sox, Giants) being named as potential partners.

Given all the damage Loria did to the fan base, will new ownership actually have the guts to get rid of the face of the franchise? I get that it makes sense from a financial perspective, but that was Loria's line a lot of the time too. I wonder if a gesture of goodwill prevails and they at least hang onto Stanton to start the 2018 season.

I also don't think they're as far away from Wild Card contention as their record this year might indicate. Although with budget constraints, I guess they don't have many paths to improving further in the short-term.

Glad I'm not a Marlins fan.

I wonder how many people are even aware that Derek Jeter owns the Marlins lol.

Sadly, that is a fair comment.
