Game Thread: 2018-2019 season random great plays, bloopers, hits etc. Thread
Wtf, excessive much? And I'm not saying any violence is acceptable against women, but that isn't even excusable like "I shoved her in the heat of the moment".

Yeah, it was pretty severe, the guy is a piece of shit of the highest order.

I'll be fine with Voynov not coming back to the NHL.  Let him suffer making all of those Millions and Millions of dollars playing hockey in the KHL.  What a punishment.

Plus hasn't Voynov already been suspended by the league a couple times?

For life in 2014
From the World Cup of Hockey,  now this.

I'm not trying to defend what he did,  but hasn't he paid for his actions?
Even MLB who has stricter punishment than the NFL has never done anything like this to a player & they have a lot of women beaters themselves

Give him a zero tolerance policy for this.   If he does it again,  banned for life

No. he hasnt. Not even close. And a free pass with don’t you do it again doesn’t make up for it. Not one bit.

And that the other leagues basically condone this stuff with essentially slaps on the wrist is hardly a watermark to aim for.

Shouldve banned him for life right now. Its a privilege to play in pro leagues, not a right. The league didnt miss him one teensy, tiny little bit the last few years and they certainly wouldnt miss him going forward.

Still, there's a good chance some team will sign him. Maybe not, Ray Rice was essentially blackballed by the NFL, but i wouldn't be surprised if someone took a chance on Voynov

There is something wrong with the world when these punks can find work but Colin Kaepernick can't....

I can't argue with that!

Beating women, society MIGHT turn the other cheek.

Disrespect the flag or National Anthem, blackballed.

Don't feel too bad for Kaep though, he ended up making out like a bandit

With the money he earned, he could afford to make out with bandit.

He didn’t disrespect the anthem or flag... both stand for his right to do what he did.

My hope is bandit gets a kick out of the comment and then subsequently wonder how much money it would take for him to kiss another dude. The Oilers are not in the playoffs. I have to make my own fun.

Arbitrator has upheld Voynov’s one year suspension but also ruled that 41 games of it has been deemed served so he’ll be eligible to return mid way through this upcoming season.

Some team will likely sign the guy - going to be a PR nightmare for them.

Melnyk would let him beat up on his wife for free.
Wait - does Eugene have a wife or are they too expensive?

We call them escorts for "billionaires' like El Cheapo.

Lol he got divorced and the wifey took most of his shit. Not sure if he could ever convince any other human being to be with him

Jari Kurri has bought all the shares in Jokerit and is now the sole owner.

And the OBC just continues to ruin that club. Tikkanen is gong to become the coach and Varis will remain GM. The people of Helsinki deserve better. Jobs life if you ever played for that club.

With Jari Kurri now sole owner of Jokerit, the Oilers should be able to procure more of the elite Finish goaltenders just like Mikko Koskinen......
