What Have You Guys Noticed With The Coaching Change?
#1
For me:

More support coming out of our own end.

Better player selection at certain times.

Overall, better use and deployment of forwards.

Forechecking and backchecking have improved, especially forechecking.

And....ice time is really rewarded on merit.

Hitch seems like a very good communicator, I actually enjoy listening to his pre and post-game interviews. He gives a lot of very good and detailed information about the game he sees and wants to see, as opposed to cliches.  I could listen to this guy talk about hockey for hours.

I wasn't on the fire McLellan bandwagon but was happy it was Hitch that replaced him, as opposed to just elevating someone else in the coaching staff, which is what I thought we would do.

I would have preferred Coach Breaux.

Is it me or does Hitch use timeouts far more often than the last guy?

Big time. I'm not sure if McLellen was to stubborn or didn't think it made a difference, but he never took a time out when we clearly needed a time out

McLellen is also unemployed at the moment

7-2-1 under Hitch, for a total of 15 out of 20 points. That's what I'm mostly noticing.

Seeing as how some posters LOVES bringing up old shit the 1 time they're correct,   what say you now who said firing McLellen would change nothing? Silly

The coaching isn't the problem,  it's ALL the GM?!

Ya OK.  Good coaching can make all the difference

7 wins in that set of 10. 1-0 in the current set of 10.

Agreed.

Our team D was very lax in our end under TM.  I think that is the biggest improvement under Hitch.

Leadership......that's probably the biggest change I've noticed, and something the young core has been missing
