the Trump thread.
It's a win-win for us either way; he gets impeached and it's good riddance, he doesn't and we get more of this political entertainment for the next 4 years Wink.

With Nixon, the Watergate Hotel break in was in June of 1972, the House judiciary committee started the impeachment process in July of 1974 and Nixon didn't resign until August of 1974 (That's over 2 years). It would have taken many more months for impeachment but Nixon saw the writing on the wall and decided to resign.

These things rarely move quickly so expect much more time than another 3 months if he ever gets impeached. With Republicans controlling both houses you will see delay, after delay and any other hurdle they can throw in there.

I agree with you, yet I do feel evidence is unfolding at a faster pace than with the Bill Clinton investigation.

Both are similar in one respect though....they both cheated and lied about it.

He was definitely being "pushed out", as he was already replaced by that woman.

Pure speculation but I'm sure he has received a nice "settlement" to buy his silence as well.

I'm sure he has been looking for an excuse to resign for a while now.

He literally had the worst job at the white house.

There is no salary large enough for that job.

Surprised he lasted this long.

I gotta think he went home and had his share of 45 minute showers trying to wash off the lies he just had to stand at the podium and vomit all over himself.

That said...I have no sympathy for him...he knew what he was getting into.

To be fair, that is relatively common in Japan.

I had a cabbie in Tokyo pretend not to speak English only to read a message written in English out loud in English to figure out where he was going.

It was more common in China, though.
