e-mail notifications - durhamleafer - 2017-01-08

Yesterday I started receiving e-mail notifications about new threads being started. I am not subscribed to notifications and have not had this happen since this forum started out. Any suggestions how I can stop this? Thanks.

It's weird that would just start happening all of a sudden. Is there a link in the email you receive that allows you to unsubscribe? If not, you can go to the thread you're receiving notifications for and click "Unsubscribe to this thread" in the bottom left corner:

It actually happens to me every once in a while...For me, it's a Tapatalk thing.

Stupid push notifications.

I think it happens after the odd update.

Yeah. I thought it was weird as well. I was wondering if anyone else has this happening. I'll try what you suggested.

durhamleafer,

GloryYrs70s has just started a new thread in Hockey General. This is a forum you have subscribed to at Roughing After The Whistle Discussion Boards.

The thread is titled What gives with the Penguin's schedule?

Here is an excerpt of the message:
--
According to NHL.com, they haven't played a game since December 31st.  They play tomorrow, January 8... (visit the thread to read more..)
--

To view the thread, you can go to the following URL:

There may also be other new threads and replies but you will not receive anymore notifications until you visit the board again.

Thank you,
Roughing After The Whistle Discussion Boards Staff

When I visit the above url it says I am not subscribed to receive notifications.  If this is the case then I should never have received it in the first place.   Odd.

When you visit this link are there any threads listed?

No threads listed. Weird eh. I'll just have to see what happens the next couple of days. There has been a thread in the Leafs forum that was posted 2 hrs ago and I didn't get a notification. FWIW , the 4 notifications I received were regarding new threads in the Hockey General forum.

Ok, let me know if the problem persists over the next day or two.
